Hmmm

So, this is what Haley did with her crayons today. Not sure where she learned this. I told her no, after taking the pictures, of course.

Onesie Week

Aaron and Caleb came over for a play date....we'll have to have them over again when it's time to do more yard work :)

Since we may potty train soon, I designated this onesie week. My intentions were to take a picture of her each day in her onsie. So far, I just have this one :) Here we are stirring our fridge alphabet letters in the back of our car.

Compassion

We hope you had a wonderful Christmas. We are very blessed and very thankful for each of you.

We want to share a little about our desire to help children in need. Three years ago we decided to sponsor a child through Compassion International, and selected Guirelene Normil, an orphan from Haiti, who is now 16. It has been such a blessing to us to be able to help her. We are able to send her letters and cards, and then she will write us too, often with some of her personal drawings. Although we don’t write as often as we should, it’s comforting to know that our $38 a month is providing meals, a Christian education and most of all our prayer and support.

Recently, Compassion challenged us to help find a sponsor for another child, Amina Kasimu Kingu from Tanzania. Amina is 6 years old and lives with her aunt. As no other sponsor will receive Amina’s information through January, we are reaching out to you for help. We know that all of you have many important financial and charitable obligations but we do ask that you would consider sponsoring Amina, or any other child through Compassion International. If you are interested in sponsoring Amina, we have some additional information about her and a packet to help you get started, which we would be happy to send (or deliver) to you. For more information about Compassion International and sponsoring a child, you can visit http://www.compassion.com/. To sponsor Amina you can also call Compassion at (800) 336-7676 and give them her Compassion ID number (TZ2110334). If you have any questions, please call or e-mail us.
Honestly, we are not completely comfortable asking for money and we do not want you to feel pressured or obligated, as we understand everyone has financial burdens, especially during the holidays. Most importantly, we just ask that you include Guirelene and Amina in your prayers.

We hope you have a wonderful Christmas full of God’s blessings!
Merry Christmas!

“Then he said to them, “Whoever welcomes this little child in my name welcomes me; and whoever welcomes me welcomes the one who sent me. For he who is least among you all – he is the greatest.” Luke 9:48

Christmas

Playing in the snow

Her 1st piano lesson

On Christmas Day, my cousin's little girls, Ashley and Emily (aka the twins) came over. As soon as she saw them, she just gave them lots of hugs and kisses.

Santa

So, Santa made a visit to school for the Christmas party. None of the kids were willing to get close. Even with me holding Haley, she had a good grip on me. So, this was the best we could do...at least he was free (sort of).

Hot coco with Caleb

We didn't have to tell her what to do!

Already loosing teeth!

So, Haley fell as she always does, but cried a little more than normal. So, after consoling and kissing her, it seemed a little odd that she cried as there were no obvious scars....no bleeding, bruising, or swollen things. After we administered the final cure all treatment (elmo), she was making funny noises, so I looked at her mouth and noticed part of her left front tooth is missing! The dentist said it would be fine and may even turn grey but not to worry. I'll try to post some pictures, although it will be in every picture for the next 3/4 years. At least it was not her permanent teeth!

Random stuff

Here are a few random pictures I have intended to post....

Haley in her dress from GG. Thank you GG! She looks so cute :)

The baby had to go potty. It's the only one who has used this potty.

Haley loving her friend Kate (a little too much :)
Kate was a good sport with all the kisses and hugs Haley gave.
